Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has condemned in its entirety the ruthless and mindless killings of unarmed innocent people in Ndi-Ejezie Umualaoma and Umuakunwata Uno, Arondizugo villages in Ideato North local government area of Imo state.
Anyanwu asserted that no individual has the right to take the life of another irrespective of any provocation, and advised the youths to shun violence.
“Imo state has been in the news for bad in the last few years. It is worthy to inform the people that no political or business interest that worth the life of any individual. This act of mindless killings and destruction of property should stop. The state also, should sit up and address every issue of security to forestall future occurrences”,he advised.
Anyanwu, who is the National Secretary of PDP therefore called on the APC led government in the state to do everything possible to guarantee security of lives and property, describing it as a constitutional right to every citizen.
While sympathizing with the families of the deceased, people of Arondizuogu, Ideato North in particular and the state in general for the loss, Anyanwu urged security agencies in the state and beyond to fish out those behind the dastardly act as a way of restoring confidence and ensuring normalcy in the communities.
